Who we are and what we do

What we do

Once we receive an enquiry for cats needing our help, we try to obtain as much information as possible. Temperaments, health, are they vaccinated? are they neutered?
Recently we have had three cats in where we were not given full stories, one boy was so poorly, he had to be syringe fed for 8 weeks, another we were misled about his age and health. Due to this our policy is now:
All cats coming in need to be vaccinated with proof. (Unless found as a stray or medical proof they cannot be vaccinated,
A full vet report will be required, if this is not available, they will need to be taken for a full health check, including teeth check at least a week before they come to us.
At least a weeks supply of food, if the food is only available online, it takes is a few days to get and they have to be fed in the meantime, which can lead to upset tummies.
If cats are coming in during the winter months, we will require a small donation towards the heating costs, all the electricity required to heat and light the pens, go on to our household bills.

If cats need to come in urgently due to allergies in their current home, we aim to get them to us as soon as possible. We do where possible ask for the owners assistance in getting them to us, especially if it is a long distance from the closest safe house.
For cases of aggression or fear, we do not put a time frame on the amount of time they will be with us. This is a very slow process and one that has to be taken with extreme patience and always with the cats interests at heart.

Re-homing process

Re-homing process.
We always match the cats to owners not the other way round, The homes we choose are with the intention of being forever homes. When we receive an enquiry from someone looking for a Ragdoll, we gather as much information as possible. Home and work life, children, holidays ect. We will then arrange a home check. We do try and arrange home checks within 2 weeks. However, we all do work, have our own families and pets, we also have some wonderful people who home check further afield. They also work, so our time frames may not always be met. Even if we do not have any suitable cats at that time, we may still home check, this then means that if a suitable cat comes in, the re-home process, providing there are no issues will be quicker. A lot of the cats we have in can only go to homes with no children or other pets. We always do what is best for the cats entrusted to us. Please do not be offended if we say no.
